How We Work

Start Where Your Team Is Actually Breaking

Leadership development for executives, teams, and individuals. Every engagement runs on the same seven pillars from Firm Foundations. What changes is the format — you on your own, your leadership team together, or a leader working through it at their own pace.

Three Tracks

Find the Track That Matches Your Situation

Some leaders need to work on themselves. Some need their whole team in a room, saying the things nobody has said yet. Some were promoted without ever being trained and need the whole framework, in order. Here is how each track works, and who it is built for.

Before Any Of It

Lead yourself first

Every track below works on a team. None of them work for long on a team whose leaders have never done the internal work. You cannot build on a foundation nobody poured.

01 Solitary Foundations Six pillars of the person — identity, worldview, principles, passion, purpose, process. Each individual writes their own OPUS: where they are going, what they are serving, and how they will know.
02 Firm Foundations Seven pillars of the team — trust, mission, accountability, culture, team communication, individual communication, adversity. Worked together, by people who now know what they stand on.

For a whole team

Everyone builds their own foundation, in the same room

Your leadership team works all twelve sessions of Solitary Foundations together — not as a group exercise, but as twelve individuals doing honest personal work alongside each other. Nobody writes another person’s I AM statements. What changes is that they all do it, at the same time, and they know everyone else did too.

The team conversation afterward is a different conversation. People who have audited a week of their own calendar against their own stated beliefs are considerably harder to fool, and considerably harder to perform in front of.

  • FormatTwo days on site, a week apart, then two more. The gap is not scheduling — Session 6 is a seven-day record of where time actually went, and Session 7 audits it. It cannot be compressed.
  • Each person leaves withA finished OPUS in their own handwriting, and a copy of the workbook they wrote it in.
  • ThenThe team is ready for Firm Foundations, and the seven pillars land on people who have already done the hard part.

For a leader

Do it yourself first, then bring the team

For the leader who knows the team needs work and suspects, honestly, that some of it starts closer to home. You work Solitary Foundations one-to-one with Mark before anyone else is involved — no audience, no performance, nothing to manage.

Then the team work begins with you already clear on your own vision, your own principles, and the gaps between what you say and what your week shows. Leaders who have done this stop asking their teams for things they have not asked of themselves.

  • FirstTwelve sessions, one-to-one, at a pace that fits a real calendar.
  • ThenExecutive Team Workshops, or the whole team through Solitary Foundations with you already on the other side of it.
  • Why this orderWillingness travels in one direction. A room can tell whether the person asking has done the work.

01 · For Executives

Business and Executive Coaching

For leaders who are good, and know they could be building something better.

An ongoing coaching relationship built around the seven pillars in Firm Foundations — trust, mission, accountability, culture, communication, and the habits that hold a team together under pressure. Sessions are structured around your actual team and your actual friction points, not a generic leadership curriculum.

  • Recurring one-on-one sessions built around where your team is actually breaking down
  • A structured way to diagnose what is working and what is not — before it costs you people
  • Direct, practical feedback from someone who has built and led teams himself, not just studied them

02 · For Executives

Leadership Consulting

For organizations working through a specific structural problem — a merger, a leadership transition, a culture cracking under growth.

A deeper, longer engagement. Mark works directly alongside your leadership team to diagnose exactly where trust, communication, or accountability is breaking down, then stays in the work with you as changes get implemented. It is the seven pillars applied to your situation, not a generic audit and a report that sits on a shelf.

  • A structural diagnosis of where your team’s foundation is actually cracking
  • Hands-on work alongside your leadership team through implementation, not just a report
  • Scoped to your organization’s specific situation and timeline

03 · For Teams

Executive Team Workshops

For teams that need to get everything on the table, together, in one room.

A facilitated program that takes your team through all seven pillars in order — day one afternoon, dinner together, then two full days from the morning through a mid-afternoon wrap-up. Mark facilitates, so the leader participates instead of running the room. This is not a generic team-building exercise. It is a working session that leaves your team with a shared language for how you operate and a real plan for what changes Monday morning.

  • 20 contact hours on site. Each person leaves with the Foundational Leadership certificate.
  • Built around your team’s actual friction points, gathered before the session
  • Leaves the team with a ninety-day plan — named owners, real dates, signed in the room

04 · For Individuals

Foundational Leadership

For the leader who was promoted, not trained — and wants the whole framework, in order.

Eight video modules built on the seven pillars, four applied tasks carried out inside your own team, and a ninety-day plan you leave with. Knowledge checks after every module and a certificate recording 17.5 contact hours. Start today, work at your own pace.

05 · For Individuals

Solitary Foundations

For the leader who needs to do the work on themselves before they ask anything of anyone else.

Twelve work sessions through the six pillars of the person — identity, worldview, principles, passion, purpose, process. You name your strengths and find where each one, overused, causes you trouble. You write seven I AM statements that have nothing to do with your job title, and ten I BELIEVE statements in your own words. Then you record seven days hour by hour and audit what you say you believe against how you actually spent the week. Most people find a gap. That is the point.

You finish with an OPUS — your labor of love, in four parts: an overarching vision, the purpose you are serving inside it, the strategies that will get you there, and a scorecard for the things that actually matter to you.

Work it guided, one-to-one with Mark, or on your own in the workbook.
